We already have everything we need. You are perfect the way you are but, yeah, there’s lots to work on.
We take control and seek help and feel good and find our new reality. We share this new reality.
And then we plateau.
And it begins again.
In High Maintenance, CALVIN KLEIN is looking at the process of transformation from beginning to beginning, how to start again. Transformation comes in stages, but the final stage is difficult to see. The process is cyclical and it is hard. The struggle against stagnation, the bouncing from rock bottom, the declaration of new self — these are the cracks of humanity that CALVIN KLEIN is peering into.
Perhaps it is earnest, perhaps it is romantic, perhaps it is sincere, and it is a life. It is your life. And fighting for it, transforming it, and pushing it takes courage.
